CPGC Junior Section

At Chartridge Park, our junior section is all about socialising, having fun and
ultimately improving your golf and developing skills to help you in everyday
life.

All through the calendar year we organise both golfing and social events for our
juniors, be it competitions and roll ups or indoor social events using our new
indoor Foresight GCQuad Golf Studio.

As a junior member at Chartridge Park, you can benefit from:

  • Free use of the indoor golf studio to practice* (subject to availability).
  • Heavily reduced rates for lessons with our Head PGA Pro, Noel Quinn.
  • Free to enter weekly junior competitions (with prizes).
  • An official handicap that can be used anywhere in the world!
  • Free advanced group coaching sessions (should you be selected for one of our teams).

Competitions

Junior competitions of varying formats (team and individual) are held at Chartridge Park every week, all of which are free to enter!

The winner of each competition is awarded a prize, and all participants receive points towards the Order of Merit.

Junior members with valid handicaps are also allowed to enter mens and ladies section competitions free of charge, and we often organise fun events inclusive of all sections.

The order of merit runs annually, with the participants collecting points through finishing positions in competitions throughout the year. Those at the top of the order of merit receive prizes presented at the AGM in February.

Juniors who are selected to represent the club will also have the opportunity to play in external competitions, as well as matches against other clubs.

For those juniors who are not yet ready to play from ‘rated’ tees, we offer unofficial ‘club handicaps’ so that all juniors at Chartridge Park are able to track their progress!

Juniors with unofficial ‘club handicaps’ have their own competitions running along side the official junior competitions.

Coaching

Junior members at CPGC benefit from reduced rates for one-to-one coaching sessions with Noel, as well as access to group coaching sessions with other juniors for a small fee.

Juniors who represent the club will also have access to free advanced group coaching sessions with Noel.

Juniors who are new to the game of golf may look at joining our YMG programme. More information can be found on the YMG Scheme tab.
